Renewable Energy Workplace Safety
REWS (Renewable Energy Workplace Safety) for Divers and Unmanned Systems personnel is a course covering First Aid at Sea, Occupational health and safety hazards (chemical hazards, physical hazards, ergonomic risk factors, electrical safety, working at heights), Water Survival, Maintenance and repair safety tasks, Fire and explosion awareness and risk assessment.
REWS approved course was developed on the basis of Codes of Practice and Safety Standards created by DIA, in collaboration with companies involved in the Renewable Energy industry, research and development of safety and rescue equipment.
This course is suitable for those working in Wind Farm, Subsea Cable, Wave Energy, Tidal Energy sector.
The course is a combination of techniques and procedures prepared on the basis of DIA regulations, standards, guidelines, and industry best practices which are intended to mitigate many hazards in aquatic environments.
