Confined Space
A submarine, a diving bell, a space module are confined spaces, which also has a reasonably foreseeable risk to workers of fire, explosion, loss of consciousness, asphyxiation or drowning. In these structures can quickly arise, which can expose workers to serious and imminent dangers due to lack of oxygen, buildup of poisonous gas, fume or vapor, fire and explosions.
Therefore, the worksite must have emergency procedures and rescue plans in place to get workers out of the confined space as quickly and as safely as possible.
DIA has created safety procedures for urgent medical interventions in pressure structures and space modules. These procedures were designed to identify any health risks or conditions that could put technicians at risk when working in confined spaces.
