Unmanned Systems At Energy
Based on the fact that workers’ safety is essential to the success of a facility, DIA Scientific Division has created procedures for the use of marine and underwater remotely controlled vehicles and autonomous bipeds and quadrupeds to manage sensitive operations and tasks in critical infrastructures.
The study for the development of the procedures was based on equipment used by DIA Project Partners in the energy sector.
Robots and unmanned systems have been used in various contexts, both in dry and wet environments, to carry out inspections, adjustments, combat dangerous situations such as fires, detect dangerous substances, locate missing people.
