DIA commits many resources to researching new technologies to make work safer, identifying equipment and tools, procedures and methods to improve tasks in the defence, energy, space and scientific sector.

Research and Development Division prepares codes of practice and plans to improve the protection of watersheds and coastal areas and to reduce the impact of climate change on the aquatic ecosystem. DIA and Projects Partners collaborate closely to implement behaviors and develop new technologies to protect aquatic fauna and flora. In this context, synergies were born with companies specialized in the design of unmanned systems and shelters to support the marine ecosystem.
