Scientific Diving Training

This course program is specific for universities, research institutes and scientific schools. This is an intensive training aimed at beginners, includes sports and scientific diving procedures, techniques for research and recovery in the archaeological sector, photographic and video recording, use of detection and survey instruments, artifact collection and documentation.

Classroom aspects include sea and freshwater diving theory, emergency care/first aid technique, dive safety and planning, dive physics and physiology, etc. All training facilities that wish to teach our courses must be a DIA Training Partner.

DIA courses are used by Institutions and Universities at an international level to train beginners and professionals. The first course was taught at the University of Urbino, School of Sport and Health Science, and perfected to be used in various fields thanks to teachers and consultants of high scientific and professional profile. Currently the course is used as a basis for the training of professionals who work in the scientific sector.

All those who obtain the Scientific Diver Level 1 certificate, after gaining experience, can access the Scientific Diver Level 2. During the SD L2, the candidate will be trained to use tools and devices to operate in various areas. The course is an entry requirement to the accident scene investigation course.
