The Research & Development Division includes the scientific and medical sector, for which the DIA is continuously recruiting professionals who have the task of testing the performance of equipment, carrying out accident investigations, designing guidelines, codes of practice, procedures used to improve the safety of workers and security company resources, aquatic environment and ecosystem protection, to create courses provided by Training Partners at an international level, to train civilian technicians and defense personnel.

The DIA Scientific Division includes scientists, military personnel and engineers. This division’s purpose includes the testing of equipment and unmanned vehicles to evaluate their efficiency and reliability in the field, the investigation of accidents in aquatic and terrestrial environments including aerospace, support during the equipment design and production phase, the development of procedures for the safe use of equipment and tools, supporting Training and Project Partners during trade fairs and events.

In addition consultants are involved in designing codes of practice for Energy and Environmental Security including Marine Critical infrastructures and studies on Climate Change Impact on Marine Life. Our Scientific Consultants consists of several international civil and military personnel, are all experienced and certified Engineers, Scientists credited for their specific sector knowledge and professional experience.

The DIA Medical Division is made up of doctors with various specializations, their tasks are to create or update medical and emergency medicine documentation, carry out accidents scenes and forensic investigation, medical response, disseminate safety in emergency medical environments. They are involved in conferences and events, sometimes in collaboration with scientific consultants.

The pandemic has highlighted the need to strengthen international surveillance systems to protect workers internationally. In remote countries, where many of the work activities related to the Oil&Gas and Renewable Energy, defence and scientific sectors take place, it is necessary to increase disease surveillance to contribute to workers safety. DIA‘s goal is to strengthen procedures and guidelines to reduce the proliferation of diseases in workplaces and to act as an international coordinator to increase workplace efforts.
