To manage the risks associated with working in healthcare, defence and energy, scientific and space sector, DIA has implemented hazard assessment and control program procedures, disaster management guidelines, tactical casualty combat care guidelines, remote healthcare guidelines, health and safety guidelines for energy workers.

The procedures are used as guidance during civil and military operations, for the development of courses for special tasks, as a basis for scientific studies.

The medical consultants are experts in various disciplines from emergency medicine to undersea and hyperbaric medicine including forensics.

The consultants are involved in the drafting of guidances for the remote management of injured people (Telemedicine), for pre-hospital interventions and hospital emergency medicine.
