Remote Medic
Remote Medic DIA Approved Course is designed to prepare doctors and nurses to provide an initial emergency response for workers suffering from serious illness or injury, to carry out resuscitation and stabilization of critically injured patients utilizing emergency medical protocols, to provide health and safety including security, maintain accurate patient medical records and ill health including accident and incident or near misses reporting in accordance with national and international law. The course includes injuries on land and in aquatic environments, from wrong behavior, equipment, fauna and flora, attacks and threats. It introduces patient stabilization through advanced medical care, in remote and hostile areas, where there are no nearby medical facilities.
The course is mainly aimed at medical and nursing personnel working in the Onshore Energy sector (pipeline and cable launch and landing).
The exams are held online in live synchronous mode by the DIA CRD Unit and DIA Executive Commission. The exam questions are different for each candidate. Upon completion of the theory test, the candidate will sit individually to be assessed and to confirm the exam answers. The examiners and auditors will lead the candidate in a logical reasoning about the various topics to evaluate his effective preparation. In addition, the commission reserves the right to use other evaluation methods.
