Marine Critical Infrastructures
The design and implementation of secure and appropriate procedures for the protection of the environment and critical infrastructures continues to be the primary objective for DIA. In this context DIA created the Critical Infrastructure Guidance. The Guidance is essential both during the design and construction phase, throughout the entire life of the marine and subsea structure.
The Guidance take into consideration the security requirements, acceptable levels of risk, the cost-effectiveness of the measures and their efficiency, and the impact these measures have on the design, construction, and use of the structures. The purpose of the Guidance is to mitigate hazards and risks in remote and dangerous environments, they include measures that can reduce or eliminate the vulnerability of the critical infrastructure.
DIA Critical Infrastructure Guidance is created to fill some gaps and strengthen measures or guidelines that are not yet standardized. The Guidance includes a series of threat assessments to determine vulnerabilities in the overall security infrastructure.
