Port Areas – Safety and Security
The port infrastructures and surrounding areas can be affected by security threats such as piracy, insurgency, organized crime, vandalism and sabotage which can compromise the safety of workers, clients and visitors.
In this context, the DIA Code of Practice was produced. According to this document the operational sectors are secured with the help of unmanned systems and passive security measures to ensure operational efficiency and minimize losses associated with security breaches
The code of practice has been prepared for port and third party workers who work closely with structures and products that contain a lot of energy and are highly flammable and explosive. The DIA Code of Practice provides practical guidance on how to achieve health and safety behavior and effective ways to identify and manage risks.
